Fortaleza International Airport – Pinto Martins (FOR) is strategically located in the state of Ceará in the northeastern-most part of Brazil.  With over four million inhabitants, the Fortaleza metropolitan region ranks sixth in the country.  FOR received 5.7 million passengers in 2016, making it the country’s twelve busiest airport.  From 2005 to 2016, Fortaleza Airport registered 6.8 percent compound annual growth rate (CAGR). The 5.3 square-kilometer airport site comprises one runway and one passenger terminal.

    • Terminal expansion by 26,000 square meters
    • Runway extension by at least 210 meters
    • Refurbishing apron areas
    • Refurbishing and relocating taxiways
    • Re-designing road system
    • Implementing a new automated baggage management and security screening system
    • 12 aircraft boarding bridges and respective parking stands on the apron
  • Improvements to the existing passenger terminal at FOR:
    • Bathrooms and baby changing areas
    • Terminal signage
    • Free high-speed Wi-Fi in passenger areas
    • Outdoor lighting for vehicle access roads, parking lots, passenger and cargo terminal areas and in other areas
    • Improvements to air conditioning, escalators, moving walkways, elevators and baggage claim conveyor belts
